Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. is a leading electrical contractor with over 1400 employees across New England, and the Southeast. We are currently seeking a Project Engineer/Coordinator to join our growing team in Pelham, Alabama.
This position is ideal for a proactive, detail oriented and organized individual to support the start-up, maintenance and close out activities of electrical construction projects. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working on a variety of projects concurrently.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting Project Managers to gather, prepare, review and process various project documents - permits, submittals, contracts, budget information, purchase orders, buy-outs, schedules.
- Processing change proposal takeoff and entry, including time and material changes
- Preparing Operations & Maintenance manuals for clients at closeout
- Tracking all project documents, materials and processing the data entry of information for the projects assigned
Must Haves:
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel and an understanding of construction project cycles
- Associates/Bachelor's degree or related construction/electrical field experience
- AutoCAD and Bluebeam knowledge is a plus
