What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutrition Services - Food Service Worker - Part time - 1st Shift position at Wayne Hospital Company?
Position:
This position will be first shift working 24 hours in a week . Every other weekend is required. The applicant will be cross trained to other functions within the department and scheduled to these functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Healthcare Nutrition Services work is preferred.
- Previous experience in a large industrial kitchen preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Perform any tasks involved in dishwashing and cleaning operations of food service.
- Work on central tray line, assisting with patient tray set up and preparation.
- Set up utensils and food supplies for cooks as directed.
- Prepare and set up steam table and serving line for either cafeteria or patient tray service.
- Assist as needed to expedite the flow of work in the kitchen and food service.
- Rotates in and out of the cook and foodservice worker positions.
- Employee is competent and knowledgeable to fulfill nutritional requirements for normal, modified, therapeutic diets, and other special diets.
- All other tasks as assigned.
