COMPUNET - MEDICAL LAB SCIENTIST/TECHNICIAN

Part-time Day Shift (working between 48 hours every two weeks) 

Part-time & Full-time Night Shift (10:30pm to 6:30am or 11:00pm to 7:30am))

*All shifts have rotating weekends and holidays.  15% shift differential is eligible for working evenings, nights and weekends. 

Eligible for $7,000 Sign On and Stay Bonus for ASCP certified or eligible candidates who work Nights!

Position Summary:

The job requires candidates to possess a strong educational background in medical laboratory science, certification, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a demanding laboratory environment while prioritizing safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests accurately and efficiently following established protocols.
• Conduct daily maintenance and quality control on equipment and reagents
• Identify and troubleshoot problems with instruments, reagents, test results or supplies.
• Record and report test results accurately and promptly, using computer systems as necessary.
• Address client inquiries and issues in a professional manner, adhering to departmental policies.
• Assist in training new employees and students.
• Adhere to corporate integrity and safety policies. 

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLT/MLS/CLS) or equivalent.
• ASCP certification or eligibility is required.

Safety & Physical Demands:

• Visual acuity and manual dexterity for computer work and data analysis.
• Ability to lift weights up to 20 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity for specimen manipulation and pipetting.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and walk short distances.
• Exposure to biohazard substances and hazardous chemicals.
• Adherence to safety, ergonomic and health policies.
• Compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Completion of required safety training and health evaluations.
