Job Description: Washroom Technician / Soil Sort (3rd Shift)

Position Overview
C&B Linen is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Washroom Technician/Soil Sorter to join our 3rd shift production team. This role is critical to ensuring that customer linens are properly sorted, washed, and prepared for the finishing department. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well independently and as part of a team, and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly overnight.
Key Responsibilities
- Soil Sorting: Identify, separate, and sort soiled linens by type (sheets, towels, uniforms, mats, etc.) for processing.
- Machine Operation: Load/unload commercial washers, dryers, and other washroom equipment following safety and quality standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect linens for damage or excessive soil and report any quality issues to the supervisor.
- Workflow Support: Maintain a steady flow of product through the washroom to meet production schedules.
- Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Teamwork: Communicate effectively with co-workers and assist in other areas of production as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in laundry, manufacturing, or production environment a plus (not required – will train).
- Ability to work overnight hours and maintain reliable attendance.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in warm/humid environments.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
Schedule & Compensation
- Work Schedule: Sunday–Thursday nights, 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM (with 1-hour lunch)
- Starting Pay: $15.00 per hour
- Full-time position with steady hours
