Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES is seeking a skilled and student-centered Physical Therapist to support students across our region. This professional position offers the opportunity to apply clinical expertise in educational settings, helping students improve mobility, strength, balance, posture, and physical access to learning environments. If you are passionate about helping students move safely and confidently through their school day—and value both professional responsibility and collaboration—this role offers meaningful impact and variety.
About The Role
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and providing physical therapy services in accordance with a written prescription or referral from a physician who provides medical direction. Services are delivered in school-based settings and are designed to support student access, participation, and safety. The Physical Therapist is responsible to the facility administrator for the operation of the physical therapy department. While direct supervision is not a major function of this title, the role includes oversight and instruction of Physical Therapy Assistants, Physical Therapy Aides, and clerical employees assigned to the service. Other related duties are performed as required.

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on medical referrals
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students
- Address mobility, strength, balance, posture, and functional movement needs
- Maintain required documentation, treatment notes, and progress reports
- Collaborate with school teams, families, and related service providers
- Provide oversight and instruction to assigned support staff
- Perform related work as required
