DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for the accounting activities that support the Combined Human Services fiscal team, specifically for cross program analysis and CYS program. Key aspects of this role involve applying generally accepted accounting principles to real-time transactions and program-specific scenarios; managing budget-to-actual analysis, revenue tracking, and general ledger reconciliation for CYS programs; as well as assisting with audit schedules, preparing standardized management reports, and ensuring compliance with local and state requirements. Our team will also rely on you to conduct program eligibility reviews, process documentation, and submit accurate financial reports. Attention to detail and collaborating with provider agencies are crucial for maintaining contractual and regulatory integrity of our agency. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Occasionally, irregular hours, including evening and weekends may be required.
- Employee may have occasional overnight travel out of County for meetings or training.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of professional accounting experience and graduation from a four year college or university, including or supplemented by 15 credits in accounting; or
- One year as a Fiscal Technician and 15 college credits in accounting; or
- Five years of bookkeeping experience; and 15 college credits in accounting.
Other Requirements:
- You must meet the PA residency requirement.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
Pay: $36,172.50 per year
