Job Summary
The position provides management and supervision to the Women’s Health clinic staff, which includes the Maternity and Family Planning Program Coordinators. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring staff compliance with policies, procedures, protocol and standing orders. Ensures Maternity and Family Planning health standards are adhered to and quality care is provided. This employee supervises 2 program coordinators, 8 RN’s, 1 LPN, 2 Office Assistants, 1 Certified Nurse Midwife, 1 Family Nurse Practitioner, 1 Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and 1 Sonographer. Works effectively as a member of the department; maintains the highest standards of professionalism; cooperates with co-workers to improve the quality of work and works diligently to improve the department’s processes and procedures. This position is directly supervised by the Director of Nursing. Generally, this position works 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday; however, the work schedule must be flexible to perform the job or in the event of an emergency, must be available for call in during and throughout a declared emergency, Public Health event, and/or preparedness exercise as designated by the Health Director or County Manager.
