Job Summary
The position provides clinical services to the Wayne County Health Department Tuberculosis (TB) Control and Communicable Disease (CD) programs. The nursing duties of the Registered Nurse are assigned by the Deputy Health Director who oversees the TB and CD programs. Works effectively as a member of the department and works closely with the CD Staff; maintains the highest standards of professionalism; cooperates with co-workers to improve the quality of work and works diligently to improve the department’s processes and procedures. This position is directly supervised by the Deputy Health Director. Generally, this position works 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday; however, the work schedule must be flexible in order to perform the job or in the event of an emergency, must be available for call during and throughout a declared emergency, Public Health event, and/or preparedness exercise as designated by the Health Director or County Manager..
