Role Description The Logistics Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Holly Pond, AL. This position is responsible for locating and booking outside carriers on freight. Must ensure that freight moves safely from its origin to to destination. Must be able to use good discretion, negotiate rates and solve problems. Must be able to communicate with shippers, carriers and and co-workers. Must build and maintain carrier relationships.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate routes, costs, and operational performance.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
- Customer service skills to manage inquiries, resolve issues, and support long-term relationships.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with transportation or logistics software and standard office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, email).
- Ability to work on-site in Holly Pond, AL and collaborate effectively with operations staff.
- College degree is preferred but not required.
