Underground Helpers & Fitters Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers is looking for Helpers & Fitters for our Underground Department in our Ocoee, FL branch. This position reports to the Underground Department Manager and is responsible for working closely with the Foremen on the jobsite to clear trees, lay storm/sewer/water pipes, and do earthwork. This is a fast-paced position requiring the ability to climb ladders frequently, use industry tools, work overhead frequently, lift up to 70 pounds, reach into the air, push, pull, bend, climb, and walk regularly. Day to Day: Assist the Foreman on Job sites to clear trees, lay storm/sewer/water pipes, and do earthwork. Use of chain saws Digging for utilities Installing pipe and structures in ditches Using a compactor, operating a roller, end dump, using a grade rod and laser, and preparing the earth for construction. Attend monthly safety meetings at the local branch. Working outside on job sites for long hours in all seasons, including summer months. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and climbing. Lifting will include up to 70 pounds.

What are the Qualifications for this position?

• Construction experience preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools
• Travel within the local community is required with reliable transportation.
• Must possess the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to wear proper protective equipment as required on all job sites.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and pre-employment background check screening including 10 years of employment verification is required to be hired at Wayne Automatic.
