Experienced Veterinary Technician Wanted!
Wayne Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team!
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dependable technician who is confident in a fast-paced veterinary environment and has surgical and anesthesia experience. Our ideal candidate is comfortable working in both surgery and exam rooms and enjoys providing excellent patient care from start to finish.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician
- Strong surgical and anesthesia experience
- Experience monitoring and recovering anesthetized patients
- Excellent technical and patient-care skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A compassionate and professional approach with patients and clients
Responsibilities include:
- Surgical preparation, assisting, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery
- Venipuncture and catheter placement
- Radiology
- Medication administration
- Patient treatment and monitoring
- Assisting veterinarians in exam rooms
- Obtaining patient histories and electronically recording medical information
- Safely restraining and preparing patients for examinations and procedures
- Administering vaccines and other treatments
- Client communication and education
- Ability to perform in hospital laboratory testing
- Maintaining a clean, organized, efficient exam room and treatment areas
Schedule:
- Full-time position
- 1–2 Saturdays per month
- No Sundays
