Technical Lead Manager, Perception Verification

We set the high performance standards that ensure our vehicles run smoothly and keep passengers safe, then design and perform the tests that validate that performance. In this hybrid role, you will report to a Systems Test Engineering Manager.

You Will

• Build and manage a small team of engineers to scalably verify our autonomous vehicle perception stack
• Improve test tooling and infrastructure to make it more scalable, maintainable, and extensible
• Write software to perform data mining or measure the performance of the autonomous vehicle in perception edge cases
• Develop and maintain key relationships with stakeholders in Perception, Simulation, and Systems Engineering
  
  

You Have

• 3 years of experience leading technical teams, with a focus on promoting a collaborative and innovative environment
• 8 years of experience in software engineering
• Fluency in Python and C
• Ability to hire, develop and train others to develop test tooling, perform data mining, and/or develop key metrics for measuring autonomous vehicle performance
  
  

We Prefer

• Experience and interest in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or similar field
• 1 years of engineering management experience
• Advanced Engineering degree
• Some working technical knowledge of, and interest in, how ML-based perception systems work
  
  

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
