Job Overview
The Resident Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a senior living community, ensuring a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for residents. This leadership position requires a compassionate individual with extensive experience in senior care, particularly in assisted living and memory care settings. The Resident Director will be responsible for managing staff, developing care plans, and fostering a community that promotes the well-being and dignity of all residents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.
• Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care is delivered consistently.
• Manage budgets effectively while maintaining operational efficiency and quality standards.
• Coordinate activities and programs that promote social engagement among residents.
• Ensure proper medication administration and adherence to health protocols.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and their families, addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support for residents with various needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staff performance, and operational procedures.

Experience

• Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is essential.
• Background in working with individuals with developmental disabilities or long-term care experience is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on management and operations within a senior care setting.
• Experience in budgeting and financial management within a healthcare context is preferred.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and care plan development is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with residents, families, staff, and external partners.
• Previous experience in social work or home & community care is advantageous.
• Knowledge of best practices in dementia care, memory care, and overall senior care is essential. This position requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about enhancing the lives of seniors through exceptional leadership and compassionate care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
