Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site internship role for a Mental Health Specialist Intern located in Tustin, CA within the Children's Specialized Services program. The Intern will support residential staff with providing supervision, emotional support, and crisis prevention education to adolescent client's. Interns will also have opportunities to assist in developing and facilitating mental health workshops or group sessions under supervision.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of Mental Health Care, Mental Health practices, and Psychology principles
- Skills in Crisis Intervention and the ability to provide immediate support during emergencies
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Human Services, Child Development, or a related field
- Ability to work on-site in Tustin, CA
- Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to supporting diverse populations
