Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dock Worker & Back Up Driver to join our team in a fast-paced distribution center environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our loading and unloading processes. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to meet operational goals.
Schedule
- Days of Week: Monday-Friday
- Hours: 5:00 am – 3:00 pm
Duties
- Operate RF scanners to track inventory and manage shipments accurately.
- Utilize heavy equipment such as pallet jacks and clamp trucks for loading and unloading goods.
- Engage in order picking, ensuring that products are selected accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain organization of the dock area, ensuring that all materials are stored properly.
- Assist with building pallets for shipping and receiving operations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and order picking processes.
- Experience operating heavy equipment, including pallet jacks and clamp trucks, is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
