Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our healthcare team. This is a fulltime position, Monday through Friday/no weekends. The NP will provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care services, focusing on disease prevention, health promotion, and chronic disease management. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering holistic and evidence-based care. This role includes an extensive six-month orientation and comprehensive onboarding support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate.
- Provide preventative care services, including vaccinations, screenings, and wellness exams.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and health management strategies.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging studies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to enhance clinical practice.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) from an accredited program.'
- Licensure: Active Nurse Practitioner license in Rhode Island and certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in a primary care setting preferred.
- Certifications: Current BLS certification.
- Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
