Responsibilities
- Repair structural damage using advanced welding techniques, including MIG welding and automotive welding equipment.
- Perform auto body repairs such as sheet metal replacement, sanding, sanding tools, and auto painting to restore vehicles to factory specifications.
- Fabricate custom parts and repair techniques utilizing fabrication skills and hand tools to ensure precise fitment and durability.
- Conduct auto restoration projects by applying detailed fabrication repair techniques, soldering, and assembly processes.
- Use power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and auto glass tools to efficiently complete repairs while maintaining safety standards.
- Maintain thorough documentation of repair procedures, auto estimating, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service by providing updates on repair progress and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar auto repair role with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on expertise in auto body repair, sheet metal work, and automotive welding repair.
- Proficiency with MIG welding, soldering, airless paint spraying, and automotive welding equipment.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, fabrication techniques, and assembly processes.
- Knowledge of auto painting, detailing, auto glass replacement, and auto restoration processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repair procedures and timelines.
