We are seeking a detail-oriented Signage & Wayfinding Planner to support our team in the development of innovative signage solutions that enhance navigation, brand identity, and user experience across diverse environments. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create clear, visually compelling wayfinding systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape environments through strategic visual communication and design excellence.
Desired Education
- Degree in architecture, industrial design, graphic design, interior design or construction project management.
Duties
- Collaborate closely with teammates, clients, architects, interior designers, marketing teams, and sign manufacturers to ensure cohesive integration of signage systems within physical environments.
- Conduct site assessments to analyze spatial layouts and develop effective signage placement plans that optimize visibility and user flow.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and documentation while maintaining high standards of quality throughout the design process.
- Perform on-site client meetings and surveys as needed.
- Plan interior and exterior signage for a variety of facility types using established schematic designs. Includes the creation of sign message schedule and sign location plans.
- Draw design-intent sign specifications to accurately describe the construction and appearance of each sign.
- Create other ancillary deliverables including ‘you are here’ maps, evacuation maps, wayfinding brochures, directory content artwork, assessment reports, etc.)
- Review vendor shop drawings and red-line required corrections.
- Interface with clients face-to-face, via email and telephone.
- Complete assigned tasks on time and with minimal errors.
- Occasional overnight travel to client facilities is required.
