What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camper Van Builder position at Wayfarer Vans?
Greetings to all applicants!
Do you dream of a job that allows you to combine your passion for outdoor adventures, working with your hands, interacting with enthusiastic new camper van owners, and receiving great benefits?
At Wayfarer Vans, we are looking for a full-time builder and installer to help deliver high-quality camper vans to eagerly awaiting customers.
In this role, your typical work week would include time between our production and installation shops, first building components to be installed in vans, then installing those components in accordance with the customer's order. In production, you would be handling nail guns, sanders, and routers to assemble pre-designed components with a high degree of quality and attention to detail; you’ll be a problem solver and a champion of safety. In the installation shop, you'll be responsible for installing all components in sequence with basic tools such as socket wrenches and impact drivers. Installations may also include light electrical and bodywork, such as cutting into and installing vent fans and windows, and wiring small, low-voltage equipment.
You’ll also have plenty of time for your own outdoor adventures with options to work a flex schedule and enjoy a three-day weekend every week, or if you stick to the five-day workweek, you can head out at 1 pm on Fridays.
Wayfarer Vans also provides ample PTO, and health insurance - covering 100% of each employee, 50% of spouses or significant others, and 50% of dependents - profit-sharing (upwards of $10,000 annually), family leave time, and the ability to borrow a company camper van.
Wayfarer Vans is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
Please provide a cover letter in addition to your resume expressing your interest in Wayfarer Vans. All applicants without a cover letter will not be considered.
Compensation: $24 hourly
