Responsibilities And Duties
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in various tractors, trailers, passenger vehicles, liftgates and company equipment - brake pads, hoses, leaks, etc.
- Perform both routine and preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, state inspections and brake inspections.
- Tool and Equipment Operation: Proficiently use a variety of hand and power tools, including power drills, saws, air tools, and impact guns.
- Possess and maintain a valid CDL Class A license to operate and road-test heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and supporting equipment transport as needed.
- Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic
- 5 years of experience
- Inspection license
- Valid CDL A license
- Basic Computer Skills
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Adaptability to shift tasks based on business needs
- Physical requirements necessary include constant standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, with infrequent opportunities to sit.
- Ability to lift up to 150lbs
- A commitment to safety
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
