What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clerical Administrator position at Way Delivery Service?
Join the Way Delivery team. We have an opportunity for a dependable, self-starter with a family-owned business head-quartered in Lancaster County. This will be an exciting role that works with our staff to make sure that we utilize available resources to transport shipments in the safest and most cost-effective manner to meet or exceed customer expectations and achieve company goals.
Way Delivery is conveniently located in Lancaster at Route 30’s Greenfield exit.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2nd shift 11am-7pm or 12-8pm
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Answering and directing phone calls, responding to emails and in-person inquiries, and taking messages.
2. Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers, and coordinate with staff to ensure smooth operations
3. Create and maintain detailed manifests for deliveries, shipments, or appointments, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded and updated in a timely manner.
4. Proactively research and verify the operating hours of partner businesses, vendors, or clients to facilitate effective communication, scheduling, and service planning.
5. Perform data entry and update logistic databases and systems

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Effective organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven knowledge of computer applications (MS office).
