Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Handyman / Residential Maintenance Person to join our team. You will be responsible for repairing a wide range residential equipment (example: replacement of faucets, garbage disposal, lights, doors, water heater, etc) while ensuring a safe, functional, and clean environment. You will support homes through hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor construction tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, diagnosis, and maintenance on residential homes.
- Conduct repairs involving plumbing, electrical work, or mechanical components to ensure operational efficiency.
- Use tools and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot plumbing and electrical issues accurately.
- Assist with residential painting projects and minor carpentry tasks to maintain building aesthetics. Efficient drywall repair required.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or resident repair requests promptly and professionally.
- Prompt communication with the office and managers a MUST!
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance within residential environments.
- Strong knowledge with hands-on skills in plumbing (replacing faucets, garbage disposals, shower valves) and diagnosing leaks, materials needed.
- Carpentry - basic carpentry skills - deck or sidewalk repair/replacement, replacing drywall, leveling and installation of doors.
- Flooring - installation of carpet or LVP.
- Electrical experience for small projects (replacing light fixtures, diagnosing outlet issues, installing switches, outlets).
- Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate with team members and residents effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
