Wax A Peel is looking for a reliable PT Salon Receptionist / Owner’s Assistant to help keep our boutique esthetician salon running as smoothly as a fresh wax. Someone who can be the welcoming face of our space, balance client care, team coordination, and operational efficiency with grace and a sense of humor.
You’ll be the owner’s right hand — the eyes, ears, and heart of the salon — making sure everything runs efficiently while keeping clients and staff feeling supported, happy, and beautiful.

✨ What You’ll Do
Daily Duties
- Greet every guest with warmth and professionalism
- Manage the salon schedule and book appointments through Vagaro
- Answer phones, check voicemails, and emails - responding promptly and professionally
- Process payments and maintain accurate records
- Keep the front area sparkling and stocked
- Keep up with laundry, dishes, and general salon tidiness
- Manage product inventory and place orders as needed
- Report client feedback (the good and the not-so-good) so it can be addressed quickly
- Follow opening and closing checklists to ensure smooth daily operations
- Help implement new ideas to grow and promote the WAP brand
- Be the liaison between the owner, clients, and team
- Maintain a fun, professional, and drama-free vibe throughout the day
Administrative & Financial Tasks
- Assist with scheduling and staff coordination
- Run occasional errands and handle mail or deliveries
- Purchase supplies and manage vendor orders
- Track retail sales and process transactions accurately
✨ Who You Are!
- A people person who genuinely enjoys connecting with clients and staff
- Organized, proactive, calm under pressure and able to juggle multiple tasks without breaking a sweat
- Discreet and professional — you handle sensitive situations with grace
- A problem-solver who can anticipate what needs to be done before being asked
- Comfortable using booking software (experience with Vagaro is a plus!)
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Bonus points if you have:
- Previous experience in a salon, spa, or similar customer service environment
- A valid esthetician or cosmetology license
✨ Required Schedule
Ability to commit to and consistently uphold the required 3-day weekly schedule and work hours is crucial — you’ll truly be the glue that helps keep our estheticians supported and our salon running smoothly!!
- Tuesdays: 10am-7pm
- Wednesdays: 10am-7pm
- Thursdays: 10am-7pm
- Possibility for additional hours during busy seasons!
