JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounts Payable Clerk seasonal position will provide essential support to the Accounts Payable department, assisting with a variety of tasks including processing purchase orders, Invoices, vendor statement reconciliations and grower tag verifications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in basic accounting processes. As a supporting function to the accounting team, they will gain skills and knowledge that will help them develop further in their careers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mid June to mid October ( 8am-4:30 pm) full time during that time
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus and recognize color. Must be able to manipulate a computer keyboard that can involve repetitive motion. Must be able to use office machinery such as a copy machine, printer, and computer. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Employee is exposed to non-weather wet condition and sub-freezing temperatures. Floors are wet and slippery and anti-slip shoes are required. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with accounts payable, and vendor statement reconciliation
- Knowledge of 3 way match on Po's
- Organize department paperwork, file, and assemble necessary documents.
- Prepare invoices and perform data entry of purchases into the ERP system.
- Get approvals from various management via outlook emails.
- Reconcile vendor statements and communicate with vendors as needed.
- Update and improve various Excel spreadsheets and templates used by the department.
- Assist Grower Accounting with matching weight master's and sending out daily grades to growers
- Help with month end close process.
- Open, sort, and stamp incoming mail.
- Mail out checks and ensure all supporting documentation is attached.
- Purge records from previous year.
- Participate actively in Wawona Frozen Foods' safety program to maintain a healthy, injury-free environment.
- Compliance with all GMP, HAACP, Food Safety, Food Defense, and SQF policies and procedures. Empowered to notify and/or act in response to any issues or concerns within the scope of work.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with Outlook
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other office software.
- ERP- NAV or basic central (BC) experience helpful
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot discrepancies.
