We are seeking skilled and experienced Field Telecom Technicians to join our dynamic team for a critical nationwide network modernization project. This initiative involves the strategic "rip and replace" of existing Huawei network infrastructure with state-of-the-art Samsung wireless equipment. This is a high-impact project essential to enhancing network performance, capacity, and security for our clients. Successful candidates will play a pivotal role in the physical removal of legacy equipment and the precise installation, configuration, and commissioning of new Samsung 4G LTE and 5G RAN components.

Responsibilities:

• Decommissioning & Removal: Safely and efficiently de-install and remove existing Huawei wireless equipment, including base stations, radios, antennas, RRUs, BBUs, and associated cabling, ensuring proper documentation and disposal procedures are followed.
• Installation & Commissioning: Install, configure, integrate, and commission new Samsung wireless equipment, including 4G LTE and 5G RAN (e.g., base stations, radios, antennas, RRUs, BBUs, CDU/FSU units), adhering strictly to project timelines and design specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on Samsung telecom systems to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Utilize Samsung-specific tools and software for configuration, testing, and performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of Samsung core network elements (e.g., EPC, 5GC) and their integration with field equipment is a plus.

Installation & Deployment

• Execute complex telecom installations according to design specifications, schematics, and industry best practices, with a strong emphasis on the transition from Huawei to Samsung architecture.
• Run, pull, terminate, and splice various types of cabling (fiber optic, coaxial, copper) to new Samsung equipment, often requiring re-cabling or adapting existing cable runs.
• Install and integrate auxiliary equipment such as routers, switches, multiplexers, and power systems that interface with the new Samsung infrastructure.
• Conduct thorough site surveys and assessments for new installations or upgrades, identifying potential challenges related to the rip and replace process and proposing effective solutions.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose and resolve on-site technical issues, including network connectivity problems, hardware malfunctions, and system failures on new Samsung platforms.
• Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot network problems under tight time constraints, particularly during the critical cutover phases of the project.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks and upgrades to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability post-Samsung installation.
• Conduct comprehensive testing using specialized telecom test equipment (e.g., PIM sweep, Anritsu, fiber optic testers, spectrum analyzers) to validate the performance of the newly installed Samsung equipment.
