What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installer (Cable, Fiber) position at WAVSYS?
Key Responsibilities Physical Installation: Handle the unpacking, staging, assembly, and secure mounting of telecommunications frameworks, racks, and Ericsson 6160 cabinets.Cable Management: Run, secure, label, and properly route all DC power, data (fiber and copper), and grounding cables as per the project design and T-Mobile quality standards.DC Power Assistance: Assist Field Engineers with the termination and connection of DC power cables to power distribution units and bus bars, ensuring correct polarity and safety.Site Support: Support the Field Engineer team by preparing materials, organizing tools, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.Quality Adherence: Follow all documented installation guides, Method of Procedure (MOP), and quality standards to ensure a consistent and reliable installation.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all on-site safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In-Scope Activities:Unpacking, staging, and inventory of all delivered hardware (cabinets, shelves, cables, etc.).Physical assembly and mounting of cabinets (e.g., 6160) and support framework (ladder rack, fiber duct).Installation of internal cabinet components (shelves, power distribution units, fan trays).Routing, securing, lacing, and labeling of all DC power, grounding, fiber optic, and data cables.Assisting the Field Engineer with landing DC power and ground cables to specified connection points.Site cleanup, waste removal, and proper disposal of packing materials.Following all site safety guidelines and procedures.Company DescriptionWAVSYS is a national solutions company offering contract, permanent and turnkey staffing solutions by leveraging its international network of 20 offices covering USA, Canada, and the UK.
