Role Description The Doorman Staff role is a Part-time, on-site position located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. In this role, the team member scans show tickets, greets residents and visitors, manages building entry and exit, and monitors lobby and entrance areas to support a safe, orderly environment, coordinating visitor check-in, responding to resident inquiries, and maintaining a professional, welcoming presence at all times. The Doorman Staff also supports building security protocols, reports unusual activity, and collaborates with building management and other staff as needed. The role requires punctuality, reliability, and a consistent focus on customer service throughout each shift.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills for interacting with residents, visitors, and building staff in a clear, courteous, and professional manner.
- Customer Service experience to provide a welcoming environment, manage inquiries, and handle concerns or requests effectively.
- Security-related skills, including basic awareness of safety procedures and monitoring building entrances to help prevent unauthorized access.
- Receptionist Duties experience, such as greeting guests, managing visitor logs, coordinating deliveries, and answering phones or intercoms.
- Ability to manage Doors and entry points, including controlled access, key or fob handling, and ensuring secure opening and closing procedures.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with the ability to remain calm and respectful in busy or stressful situations.
- Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail for handling day-to-day building issues and following established protocols.
- Prior experience in hospitality, building services, or front desk roles is beneficial; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Compensation
$30/hr-45/hr$ based on experience.
