PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Responsible for all aspects of nutrition assessment, therapy, and education provided to patients and staff as assigned. Cooperates with managers in the provision and interrelationship of nutrition to their departments.

Responsible for all aspects of nutrition assessment, therapy, and education provided to patients and staff as assigned. Cooperates with managers in the provision and interrelationship of nutrition to their departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, and Training
- Must be licensed as a Dietitian in the State of Iowa and registered as a Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics.
- Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.
- Ability to learn and navigate computer systems including the online training modules, the employee timesheet and the performance appraisal system. Job specific systems are also required.
Physical Requirements

- Sitting – Approximately 60% of shift.
- Standing– Approximately 20% of shift.
- Walking – Approximately 20% of shift.
- Lifting – Approximately 35 pounds. Must use, and require others to use, when in hospital and/or pre-hospital settings, proper body mechanics and ergonomics and, as applicable, lifting/moving devices.
- Twisting – Infrequent.
- Bending – Moderate.
- Squat/Kneel – Not a requirement
