Wave Life Sciences is seeking a highly motivated Analytical Chemist to join its process development team in Lexington, Massachusetts. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual who is interested in cutting edge technologies and who thrives in a team-oriented, fast-paced, cross-disciplinary biotech environment. The candidate will take an active role in the analytical characterization of stereopure oligonucleotides for discovery and development-related activities.
Experience
The annual base salary for this position is $68,000 - $97,000.
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the annual base salary pay range for this position at the time of posting. Actual annual base salary will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, position criticality, and internal equity. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and discretionary stock-based long-term incentives. Experience
- Requires a BS/MS in chemistry, biochemistry, or related discipline with 1-5 years of laboratory experience.
- Prior experience in oligonucleotide analysis is preferred but not required.
- Perform analytical QC of oligonucleotides by UV, endotoxin, osmolality, pH, UPLC, and LC-MS
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation such as UPLC, LC-MS, and additional benchtop equipment
- Summarize/ present analytical findings at team meetings
- Maintain detailed written and electronic records of experimental protocols and data in accordance with company policy
- Maintain oligonucleotide inventory
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the team
- Follow SOPs and adapt to new techniques and protocols
- Understanding of analytical techniques such as UPLC and LC-MS
- Demonstrable organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Ability to be productive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and within a team
