Position Overview:
Wausau Tile is seeking multiple Vibro Cleanup team members to join the Paving Department. In this role, you will be responsible for the teardown, cleaning, and reassembly of paving equipment to support consistent, high-quality production. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently or with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Cleaning & Setup Duties:
- Coordinate with Vibro operators at the start of each shift to identify any special cleaning needs.
- Disassemble designated machine parts using basic hand tools to access all cleaning areas.
- Clean all surfaces to remove cement, pigment, sediment, and aggregate buildup using shovels, scrapers, water hoses, spray nozzles, or pressure washers.
- Reassemble all removed components and prepare the machine for the next production run.
- Apply light mineral or vegetable oil to cleaned metal parts to prevent rust and assist with material release.
- Make basic, non-operational equipment adjustments as needed to ensure production readiness.
- Restock cleaning and production supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Assist with other departmental needs and cross-functional tasks as assigned.
