What are the responsibilities and job description for the Demolding & Mold set-up position at WAUSAU TILE INC?
Position Overview:
Wausau Tile is currently hiring for a Terrazzo/Epoxy Popping/Mold Set-Up role in our Precast Terrazzo department. This position involves assembling and preparing molds for terrazzo and epoxy pours, as well as safely removing ("popping") cured products. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with hand tools, measuring equipment, and lifting equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mold Setup & Assembly:
- Prepare and clean molds for pouring, apply release oil, install inserts, rebar, and follow blueprints and specs.
- Safely remove cured products from molds using hand tools, cranes, slings, or suction pads; stage items for next steps.
- Clean and maintain work areas; support mold prep, material handling, and assist other departments as needed.
Tools & Equipment Used:
- Hand tools (scrapers, chisels, wrenches)
- Pneumatic tools, suction pads, and grinders
- Overhead cranes and nylon/chain slings
- Measuring devices and blueprints
- PPE (gloves, goggles, respirators, etc.)
