The Head Mentor will be directly responsible to the OTA Facilitator.
Location: Various Sites
Responsibilities:
(1) Must attend and conduct all required meetings: Attend and participate at New Teacher Great Beginnings in August; Planning meetings with OTA Facilitator prior to and follow up for each scheduled 1st Year Teacher and 2nd Year Teacher Meeting; Planning meetings with OTA Facilitator prior to and follow up for each scheduled Mentor Meeting; Conduct four 1st year and 2nd year probationary meetings per teacher's contract; Conduct two mandatory mentor meetings and during the other months conduct one voluntary mentor resource meeting; Conduct one late hire mentor meeting; Conduct one mid-year check point mentor voluntary resource meeting;
(2) If there are mentors and/or protégés that miss a required training, the Head Mentor must make up the time and share information;
(3) Prepare and submit times, locations and agendas to the OTA Office no later than one week before said meeting;
(4) Collect sign in sheets and exit slips and deliver to OTA Office for processing within three days of the forum;
(5) Submit a self-reflection of being a head mentor this school year;
(6) Submit a head mentor log;
(7) Any other duties related to the mentoring program.
Requirements: (1) Two years District Mentoring experience along with Training in the current 21st Century Mentoring Program.
Stipend: Estimated $3000 (to be paid at the end of the 2025-2026 SY).
