What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long Term Substitute - 9th Grade Science - Trailridge/Prairieview position at Waukee Community School District?
Assignment begins at the beginning of the school year when teachers return to work, on or about August 17, 2026
Compensation: $165/day (partial days paid on hourly basis) daily rate. Starting 15th day, rate moves to $246.94 per day
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Iowa License (teaching or substitute teaching).
- 5-12 All Science endorsement, preferred
- Expeience in a special education classroom, preferred
General Responsibilities:
Acting within the substitute handbook, performs duties of the absent classroom teacher. The substitute teacher is responsible for providing instruction and managing the learning environment. The position reports to the building principal or designee at the location to which they are assigned.
Salary : $165 - $247
