As the IT Data Engineering Intern, you will be part of a dynamic global IT team dedicated to leveraging data to drive operational excellence across a leading manufacturing organization. This role offers hands-on experience in data management, analytics, and reporting. You will support initiatives that enhance data integrity, enable smarter decision-making, and contribute to the digital transformation of manufacturing operations.
What You'll Do
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from various IT systems and manufacturing platforms.
- Support the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to provide actionable insights.
- Help ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across systems and databases.
- Participate in data quality audits and contribute to data governance initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Document data processes, workflows, and analytics methodologies.
- Contribute to projects involving predictive analytics, performance metrics, and process optimization.
Who You Are
- Current sophomore or junior pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of data analytics tools and concepts (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI, Python, or R).
- Familiarity with database systems and data modeling principles as well as ETL/ELT (Informatica, Fivetran etc.), Cloud Dataware house exposure (Azure, Snowflake, AWS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a curiosity for uncovering trends and patterns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in presenting data-driven insights.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to learning.
- Passionate about using data to improve business outcomes and drive innovation.
- Demonstrated integrity, respect, and accountability in team interactions.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
The expected salary range for this position is $22 - $26 hourly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
