Job Summary
The Special Education Department Chair at WLCCMS serves as the instructional and compliance leader for the Special Education (SPED) program. This role encompasses oversight of Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, and fostering inclusive educational practices. The Chair will mentor and support SPED teachers and related service providers, ensuring that all students with disabilities receive a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE)
Requirements / Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred). ? Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Disabilities) as per CTC requirements . ? Administrative Services Credential preferred.
