Position SummaryThe Relationship Manager serves as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned client relationships, helping ensure clients receive a proactive, consistent, and high-touch service experience. This role works closely with the firm’s advisors to coordinate client reviews, planning discussions, reporting, service requests, and ongoing relationship management.
While the Relationship Manager develops strong client relationships and participates in client meetings, the lead advisor remains responsible for investment recommendations, financial planning advice, and overall client strategy.
Primary Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client relationships.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and proactively address service needs.
- Participate in client review meetings and assist with meeting preparation and follow-up.
- Deliver performance reporting, planning updates, and other client communications.
- Coordinate implementation of client decisions and advisor recommendations.
- Work closely with advisors to ensure client goals, concerns, and opportunities are addressed in a timely manner.
- Assist with financial planning data gathering and ongoing planning coordination.
- Handle routine client service requests and coordinate with operations and custodians as needed.
- Maintain accurate client records, meeting notes, and follow-up activities within the firm’s CRM.
- Help ensure a consistent service model is delivered across assigned client relationships.
- Experience in an RIA, wealth management firm, broker-dealer, family office, or financial services organization.
- Strong client relationship and communication skills.
- Experience participating in client review meetings and ongoing client service activities.
- Familiarity with financial planning concepts, investment accounts, and wealth management operations.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Experience with CRM systems and client service workflows.
- Series 65 (or willingness and ability to obtain within an agreed-upon timeframe).
