WATT Fuel Cell is looking for a hands-on Production Technician to support the assembly and production of advanced Solid Oxide Fuel Cell systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building, assembling, troubleshooting, and working as part of a growing manufacturing team.
As a Production Technician, you will help assemble components and systems that support clean, reliable backup power for homes, businesses, and critical applications. You will work closely with team leads, engineers, quality representatives, and other production team members to safely build high-quality products according to documented procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on assembly of fuel cell components, subassemblies, and production systems according to work instructions, drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
- Support daily production activities including material preparation, component assembly, equipment setup, inspection, testing, and production documentation.
- Accurately follow written procedures and maintain detailed records of materials used, process steps completed, equipment readings, yields, and quality checks.
- Use basic hand tools, production equipment, fixtures, scales, balances, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools to support assembly and product quality.
- Inspect components and completed work for quality, accuracy, fit, finish, and conformance to requirements.
- Assist with equipment setup, cleaning, basic maintenance, and changeover activities to keep production moving safely and efficiently.
- Identify and communicate production issues, quality concerns, equipment problems, or process improvement opportunities to supervisors, engineers, and quality team members.
- Work collaboratively with technicians, engineers, manufacturing, and QA representatives to meet production goals and resolve issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards and safety requirements.
- Follow all applicable laboratory, manufacturing, health, safety, fire, and environmental policies.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by contributing ideas to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and production flow.
- Keep supervisors informed on production status, issues, material needs, and completed work.
- Perform other production, assembly, or manufacturing duties as assigned.
- Work overtime as needed to support production schedules.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to accurately follow written work instructions, procedures, and production documentation.
- Comfortable using basic hand tools, measuring tools, and production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work safely, stay organized, and maintain accurate records.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn new processes.
Preferred Attributes
- 1 year of manufacturing, assembly, production, mechanical, technical, or related hands-on experience preferred.
- Experience with mechanical assembly, electronics assembly, equipment operation, quality inspection, or clean manufacturing environments is a plus.
