Mammography Tech - Per-diem/Varied Shift
Position Summary: Under the direction of the radiologist and the department director, the mammographer must demonstrate theoretical knowledge and competent use of all mammographic equipment and quality control devices for mammography. Must be knowledgeable of all ACR. The mammo tech will be responsible for positioning patients, ensuring image quality, operating specialized digital equipment, following MQSA safety regulations , and providing compassionate care.
- Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Graduate General Studies
• Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program. Completion of 40 hours of structured education in Mammography.
• Medical Radiographer: CA
• Basic Life Support
• Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging, proper operation of and care of radiology diagnostic equipment, and radiation safety.
• Medical terminology and familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS.
Preferred Qualifications:
• One (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist
• Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
