Position Summary: The Clinical Dietitian is a member of the health care team. Under the direction of the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Clinical Dietitian is responsible for the provision of the patient's medical nutrition therapy. The Clinical Dietitian screens and assesses the nutritional needs, develops and implements care plans, evaluates and reports these results appropriately to the health care team including the medical staff. Cooperates and coordinates activities to meet the department and hospital needs in conjunction with the Director of Nutrition and Food Services and the Chief Clinical Dietitian.
- Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetic.
- Completion of an American Dietetic Association approved internship or equivalent American Dietetic Association approved program.
- Must be registered with the American Dietetic Association.
- Minimum of one year acute hospital experience as a clinical dietitian within the last two years preferred.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
- Must have experience with computers that includes Microsoft Word.
- Certified as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
