Location: Lafayette, Colorado

About Us: We are a custom cabinet manufacturer based in Lafayette, Colorado seeking a dependable, hardworking full-time Color Expert/Finish Support specialist to join our team.

Summary:

This is a physically active position for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with their hands, and being part of a professional team environment by being able to match, develop and apply wood stains, paints, dyes and use finishing systems to achieve high-quality appearance standards on wood products.

Salary: $100,000

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Match stains and finish colors according to customer samples and specifications.
  • Prepare, mix, and adjust stains, paints, toners and finishing materials.
  • Support staining, spraying, and finishing operations.
  • Inspect finished products for color accuracy and quality and troubleshoot any defects.
  • Maintain color formulas and finishing records.
  • Follow safety and quality standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Qualification Requirements:

  • Experience in woodworking, cabinetry, furniture, or wood finishing
  • Knowledge of stains, paints, coatings and finishing techniques
  • Strong color-matching skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management and public groups. Spanish proficiency preferred.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to apply concepts of basic math.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Strong computer proficiencies are essential and must possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite as well as project management programs.
