CDL (Class B) Delivery Driver

Position Summary

Watson Engineering, Inc. – SC is seeking a dependable, safety-focused box truck driver to support the transportation and delivery of materials and products to customers locally and occasionally to other locations in SC, NC and GA (no overnight stay). This position is responsible for safely operating the company box trucks, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries and providing excellent customer service. The driver is expected to comply with all applicable DOT regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

· Safely operate the company box trucks to transport materials and products to customers.

· Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups in a timely manner

· Maintain compliance with all traffic laws, DOT regulations and company policies

· Load and unload shipments using pallet jacks, lift gates, forklift and other material handling equipment.

· Verify shipment quantities and documentation for accuracy. Complete proof-of-delivery documentation

· Properly secure cargo and loaded within vehicle weight and safety requirements

· Maintain required DOT and company compliance records

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED required

· Valid CDL Class B driver’s license or higher

· Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certification or the ability to obtain one

· Must be able to maintain driver’s qualifications CDL Class B and maintain DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate

· Acceptable motor vehicle record

· Ability to operate air-brake-equipped commercial vehicles safely

· Strong customer service skill and attention to detail

· Prior experience preferred

Physical Requirements

· May be required to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, bend twist, squat, kneel, stand or sit for extended periods of time.

· Work may involve exposure to noise, sparks, heat and industrial equipment found in manufacturing environments.

· Ability to work in an outdoor environment.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
