3 AXIS Laser Operator
Midnight Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Rate of Pay is $19.00/hour to $21.00/hour dependent on experience $0.45/hour Shift Premium
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated 3 AXIS Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team, on the midnight shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM). In this dynamic role, you will operate advanced 3-axis laser cutting equipment to produce/cut precise metal components and parts, ensuring high-quality standards are met consistently.
Duties:
- Setting up and operating laser cutting machine as directed.
- Produce (quality and quantity) parts that meet customer specifications and expected output levels.
- Visually identify and correct deficiencies in parts produced.
- Interact appropriately (written and oral) with other WEI employees and management.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround time, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide seamless customer service.
- Verifying conformance of work piece to specifications.
- Performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Skills:
- Safely and effectively operate laser cutter and related machinery and equipment.
- Ability to read and interprete blueprints.
- Understanding of basic laser language, including G-Code and CNC Code.
- Knowledge of basic GD&T - Flattness, Perpendicularity, True Position, Datum Structure and Datum Symbols.
- Ability to draw and program laser files using customer prints and drawings.
- Ability to convert CAD files into desired drawing files.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, etc. for 8 hours a day.
Position is contract-to-direct.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
