Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and enforce safety programs at field locations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, hazard assessments, and audits.
- Deliver safety training and presentations for employees and contractors.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety complaints, providing thorough documentation and recommendations.
- Assist with the development of safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Keep up-to-date records of safety activities and associated documentation.
- Promote a culture of safety through proactive communication and engagement.
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to resolve safety issues.
- Monitor and manage the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety supplies.
- Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety coordination or management in construction, industrial, or related fields.
- Knowledge of OSHA and state safety regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct safety inspections and training.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple sites within Virginia.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
