About The Role
Join Watlow’s Technology Development Center (TDC) in Hillsboro, Oregon, where innovation and speed come together. As a Prototype Manufacturing Technician, you’ll set up, program, and run complex equipment and tools used in rapid prototyping, including Juki sewing machines and other automated sewing equipment. You’ll collaborate with engineers to bring new product designs to life, perform equipment troubleshooting, and help ensure prototypes and finished products meet exacting standards. At the TDC, you’ll be part of a team that directly supports new product development for the semiconductor industry. You’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge equipment, contribute to process improvements, and help accelerate time-to-market by turning part designs into working prototypes.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate equipment, tools, and machine tools for production and prototype builds.
- Support rapid prototyping activities by adjusting processes and tooling to new designs.
- Building prototype parts using sewing machines and process
- Perform simple and complex maintenance on production and support equipment.
- Collect, review, and analyze production and prototype data.
- Train and mentor team members on processes and equipment as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required; two-year technical degree or certificate preferred.
- 3–5 years of related experience in manufacturing, machining, or prototyping.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent design changes.
- Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with clothing and textile industries
