Position Overview
The Supply Chain & Inventory Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by managing the end-to-end flow of materials, parts, and finished goods. This position oversees all shipping and receiving activities, maintains accurate inventory levels, coordinates product movement to and from customer sites, and manages vendor relationships related to supply chain and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products.
- Manage and track inventory levels, conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Coordinate logistics and transportation for outgoing and incoming shipments to and from customers’ locations.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure reliable supply and favorable pricing for materials, components, and services.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, production, and customer service) to forecast inventory needs and minimize disruptions.
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems and best practices for labeling, tracking, and reporting.
- Review purchase orders, invoices, and shipping documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support project timelines and product deployment schedules through effective supply chain coordination.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or inventory management, preferably in a technology, manufacturing, or field services environment.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., Service Fusion, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for working with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Forklift certification or logistics experience a plus.
