WATG is hiring a Student Intern in Architecture for our office in Los Angeles, California.
ROLE
The Student Intern in Architecture performs basic architectural assignments to obtain professional experience. The position provides essential design and technical support to members of the team and assists with the preparation and updating of project deliverables. The Student Intern will research, develop concept design, prepare documentation, drawings, and sketches, and complete general administrative tasks for the Studio.

WATG is hiring a Student Intern in Architecture for our office in Los Angeles, California.
ROLE
The Student Intern in Architecture performs basic architectural assignments to obtain professional experience. The position provides essential design and technical support to members of the team and assists with the preparation and updating of project deliverables. The Student Intern will research, develop concept design, prepare documentation, drawings, and sketches, and complete general administrative tasks for the Studio.
Responsibilities
- Works on architecture projects as a fully collaborative member of a design team, participating in design charrettes to help define strategic goals for our clients, large or small
- Receives hands-on learning and collaborates with designers, architects, directors, and managers to plan, design, develop, and gain real-world experience working with clients and consultants
- Produces graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and technical drawings
- Builds physical study models and presentation models
- Assists the design team with research
- Utilizes hand-rendering techniques to communicate design concepts
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Architecture
- Completed the third year of an undergraduate program or the first year of a graduate program and are returning to the program post-internship
- Experience using Revit or Rhino; AutoCAD, and/or BIM modeling software preferred
- 3-D computer rendering skills (Sketch Up, 3-D Max, and/or other modeling software)
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam
- Hand sketching and physical modeling ability a plus
