Waterworks Pool Co. is seeking an experienced Lead Pool Repair Technician to oversee our commercial and residential repair division. This position includes an hourly pay structure commission. The ideal candidate is an experienced pool professional who excels at troubleshooting equipment issues, creating repair estimates, managing repair projects, and ensuring every job is completed to the highest standard.
This position is responsible for diagnosing pool equipment problems, preparing accurate repair quotes, communicating with customers, ordering materials, assisting in scheduling repairs, and overseeing the successful completion of each project. While this role is hands-on when needed, the primary focus is leading the repair process from diagnosis to completion.
Primary Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot commercial and residential pool equipment and plumbing issues.
- Meet with customers and/or pool technicians in the company to evaluate repair needs and recommend solutions.
- Prepare accurate repair estimates and proposals.
- Explain repair options, equipment upgrades, and pricing to customers.
- Assist in scheduling repair work and coordinate project timelines.
- Order equipment, materials, and parts.
- Assist in assigning work to technicians and oversee repair projects from start to finish.
- Perform final quality-control inspections to ensure repairs meet Waterworks Pool Co. standards.
- Assist technicians with complex troubleshooting when necessary.
- Ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.
- Maintain detailed job documentation and provide customers and company office staff with timely updates.
- Identify opportunities for preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades.
Qualifications
- 5 years of swimming pool repair experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of pumps, filters, heaters, automation systems, salt systems, plumbing, and pool equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience preparing repair estimates and communicating with customers and company office staff.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
