The Regional Aquatics Manager is responsible for driving swim lesson growth, maintaining instructional quality, ensuring every family has a positive experience at our San Jose-Bascom location, and overseeing instructors at our surrounding satellite locations. This role plays a critical part in meeting lesson count objectives, improving retention, and coaching instructors to deliver consistent, high-quality lessons.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires an active presence on the deck, strong coaching skills, and the ability to balance performance goals with safety, morale, and customer satisfaction across multiple locations.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Drive lesson growth and exceed lesson count objectives across multiple locations.
- Monitor and manage key performance metrics, including retention, renewals, level advancement, and customer feedback.
- Coach instructors to improve lesson quality, engagement, and customer retention.
- Ensure families are satisfied with instructors, progress, scheduling, and facility conditions.
- Oversee aquatics training programs, including evaluations, in-water training, role-play, and trainee release.
- Provide consistent feedback—both positive and corrective—with proper documentation.
- Evaluate lessons and wrap-up conversations with focus on progress, renewals, and growth tactics.
- Step in for safety interventions and instructional support as needed.
- Maintain high morale and support staff reliability using company protocols.
- Oversee and manage instructors at satellite locations, providing direct leadership, accountability, and performance support through regular communication and check-ins.
- Conduct site visits to satellite locations to work with instructors in the water, offering hands-on coaching, skill development, and real-time instructional support to ensure consistency with Waterworks standards.
- Respond to parent concerns and escalate to Customer Relations when appropriate.
- Submit reports and communicate performance trends to senior leadership.
- Assist with marketing initiatives and encourage online reviews.
- Ensure pool water balance, equipment readiness, and facility standards in collaboration with other managers and maintenance.

What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and evaluating team performance.
- Background working with children and families in an educational or recreational setting.
- Strong communication, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- Ability to meet physical requirements of an active aquatic environment.
- Ability to travel regularly between assigned Waterworks Swim School locations.
- Availability to work full-time hours, including at least one weekend day.
