Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Mountain Manager to lead our mountain operations and guest services. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily mountain activities, managing staff, ensuring safety protocols, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a passion for outdoor recreation management. Duties
- Lead the management of mountain facilities, ensuring safety standards and operational efficiency are upheld at all times
- Supervise staff including guides, maintenance crews, and customer service team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences
- Oversee event planning and management for mountain-related activities, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish
- Coordinate shift schedules, and operating hours.
- Enforce safety protocols including first aid and CPR procedures; respond swiftly to emergencies on the mountain
- Maintain detailed reports on operations, incidents, staffing, and event outcomes using report writing skills
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize guest services and operational processes across the resort
Experience
- Proven experience in mountain or outdoor recreation management with a focus on hospitality or resort settings
- Demonstrated leadership with staff supervision and team management capabilities
- Strong background in events management and operational planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and administrative tasks
- Experience in managing shift operations within a customer-focused environment
- First aid and CPR certification; supervising experience in hospitality or water activity settings preferred
