What are the responsibilities and job description for the Multi-Age Teacher position at Waterville Elementary School?
Waterville Elementary School is seeking a dynamic multi-age teacher to work in with our primary grade team.
The successful candidate should possess the knowledge and skills necessary to plan, instruct, and assess curriculum for elementary school students. The ideal candidate must commit to creating a welcoming, inclusive, affirming and fun learning environment.
The ideal candidate also will be adept in:
*ARC reading programs, Bridges, Math, MAPS, Fastbridge, and Phonics to Reading is preferred
•Understanding of equitable classroom practices, including restorative models, PBIS, Responsive Classroom, culturally responsive pedagogy, have a growth mindset, and an understanding of anti-bias / anti-racist practices.
•Partnering on a multi-grade team
•Instituting effective classroom management strategies
•Incorporating knowledge of child development and Social-Emotional Learning when developing a classroom, team and learning community
•Differentiating instruction for all learners in an inclusive learning environment
•Strong skills in implementing a balanced literacy program,
•Experience with formative assessments and data-driven instruction
•Actively communicating with students and their families
•Demonstrating adaptability and flexibility with practices necessary to thrive in a dynamic public school setting
